LVD 2006/95/EC適用于所有本身功能使用電壓范圍在交流50~1000V，直流75~1500V的電氣產(chǎn)品，這個(gè)定義系指指令的適用范圍，而不是指令適用的限制 (例如，在使用交流230V的計(jì)算機(jī)中，直流12V的電路所造成的危險(xiǎn)也受LVD的規(guī)范)。LVD適用于提供給消費(fèi)者和工業(yè)使用的產(chǎn)品，如果是工業(yè)用設(shè)備，指令也涵蓋了制造商本身使用的產(chǎn)品(例如: 測(cè)試設(shè)備)。本指令已于2007年1月16日起強(qiáng)制執(zhí)行。
除下列設(shè)備Equipment and Phenomena outside the Scope of this Directive：
Electrical equipment for use in an explosive atmosphere 爆炸環(huán)境下的電氣設(shè)備
Electrical equipment for radiology and medical purposes 放射及醫(yī)療目的的電氣設(shè)備
Electrical parts for goods and passenger lifts 用于貨物及人員升除的電氣部件
Electricity meters 電能表
Plugs and socket outlets for domestic use 家用插頭，插座
Electric fence controllers 電網(wǎng)控制器
Radio-electrical interference無(wú)線電干擾
Specialised electrical equipment, for use on ships, aircraft or railways, which complies with the safety provisions drawn up 使用在有專用要求的船舶，航天或鐵路上的電氣設(shè)備
by international bodies in which the Member States participate.國(guó)際性組織成員分享的設(shè)備
協(xié)調(diào)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)
如果一種產(chǎn)品是根據(jù)歐洲的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)來(lái)設(shè)計(jì)并遵守歐洲標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，這樣便假定該產(chǎn)品是符合指示中的安全要求。例如，EN60598覆蓋照明產(chǎn)品，而EN60335則覆蓋家用電氣。具體詳見(jiàn)
符合性聲明
制造商或其授權(quán)的代表必須將CE標(biāo)志貼在產(chǎn)品上，并起草一份符合性聲明，細(xì)節(jié)如下：
◆ name and address of the manufacturer or his authorised representative established within the Community 制造商或其授權(quán)的歐洲代表的名稱及地址,
◆ a description of the electrical equipment電氣設(shè)備的說(shuō)明,
◆ reference to the harmonised standards參考的協(xié)調(diào)標(biāo)準(zhǔn),
◆ where appropriate, references to the specifications with which conformity is declared 適當(dāng)時(shí)，指出符合性聲明所依賴的規(guī)范,
◆ identification of the signatory who has been empowered to enter into commitments on behalf of the manufacturer or his authorised representative established within the Community 識(shí)別誰(shuí)有能力代表制造商或歐盟授權(quán)代表簽署,
◆ the last two digits of the year in which the CE marking was affixed.
技術(shù)文件
Technical documentation must enable the conformity of the electrical equipment to the requirements of this Directive to be assessed. It must, as far as relevant for such assessment, cover the design, manufacture and operation of the electrical equipment. It must include:
◆ a general description of the electrical equipment 電氣設(shè)備的一般描述,
◆ conceptual design and manufacturing drawings and schemes of components, sub-assemblies, circuits, etc. 元件，附件，電路的概念性設(shè)計(jì)和制造圖紙和方案,
◆ descriptions and explanations necessary for the understanding of said drawings and schemes and the operation of the electrical equipment 上述圖表和方案以及電氣設(shè)備操作的必要的解釋和描述,
◆ a list of the standards applied in full or in part, and descriptions of the solutions adopted to satisfy the safety aspects of this Directive where standards have not been applied,全部或部分引用標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的清單，在未采用標(biāo)準(zhǔn)時(shí)，為滿足安全要求所采用的的解決方法
◆ results of design calculations made, examinations carried out, etc.設(shè)計(jì)計(jì)算，檢查執(zhí)行的結(jié)果
◆ test reports 測(cè)試報(bào)告.
